Un exemple \u00e9s el treball desenvolupat per un equip de recerca de la <\/span><\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northwestern.edu\/\"><span dir=\"auto\" style=\"vertical-align: inherit\"><span dir=\"auto\" style=\"vertical-align: inherit\">Northwestern University<\/span><\/span><\/a><span dir=\"auto\" style=\"vertical-align: inherit\"><span dir=\"auto\" style=\"vertical-align: inherit\"> (EUA), que ha dissenyat un material l\u00edquid capa\u00e7 de captar energia de diferents fonts, emmagatzemar-la durant llargs per\u00edodes i alliberar-la quan es necessita.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\" style=\"text-align: justify\"><span dir=\"auto\" style=\"vertical-align: inherit\"><span dir=\"auto\" style=\"vertical-align: inherit\">El comportament daquest material resulta especialment interessant. En el seu estat inicial \u00e9s un l\u00edquid, per\u00f2 en absorbir energia \u2014procedent de la llum, l&#8217;electricitat, combustibles qu\u00edmics o fins i tot raigs X\u2014 les mol\u00e8cules es reorganitzen espont\u00e0niament formant un gel. Aquesta nova estructura permet emmagatzemar electrons en un estat d\u02bbalta energia durant mesos. Posteriorment, en entrar en contacte amb l&#8217;oxigen, el gel recupera el seu estat l\u00edquid i allibera l&#8217;energia acumulada i es pot utilitzar per impulsar reaccions qu\u00edmiques i tornar a recarregar-se.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\" style=\"text-align: justify\"><span dir=\"auto\" style=\"vertical-align: inherit\"><span dir=\"auto\" style=\"vertical-align: inherit\">El disseny est\u00e0 inspirat en el citoesquelet de les c\u00e8l\u00b7lules, una xarxa din\u00e0mica de prote\u00efnes capa\u00e7 d&#8217;assemblar-se i desassemblar-se de manera cont\u00ednua.
