Aix\u00f2 es deu a la seua alta capacitat per a imitar l&#8217;estructura i funcionalitat de les c\u00e8l\u00b7lules normals dels illots pancre\u00e0tics.<\/p>\n<p>La investigaci\u00f3 publicada en <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nature.com\/articles\/s41587-022-01219-z\">Nature Biotechnology<\/a> constitueix un gran avan\u00e7 en el tractament de la diabetis ja que aquestes c\u00e8l\u00b7lules beta del p\u00e0ncrees s\u00f3n les responsables de la producci\u00f3 d&#8217;insulina, hormona vital que regula el sucre en sang.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;El nostre estudi \u00e9s un avan\u00e7 important per a transformar les c\u00e8l\u00b7lules mare i convertir-les en peces de recanvi per a reempla\u00e7ar les c\u00e8l\u00b7lules beta del p\u00e0ncrees destru\u00efdes o desbaratades, causants de la diabetis&#8221; Diego Balboa, investigador del CRG<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Fins ara, els pacients de diabetis tipus 1, causada per la destrucci\u00f3 de les c\u00e8l\u00b7lules beta pancre\u00e0tiques, podien recuperar la capacitat de produir insulina amb el trasplantament d&#8217;aquestes c\u00e8l\u00b7lules a\u00efllades del p\u00e0ncrees de donants d&#8217;\u00f2rgans. Un tractament molt complex, cost\u00f3s i poc habitual. \u00c9s per aix\u00f2 que els esfor\u00e7os cient\u00edfics s&#8217;han focalitzat a produir les c\u00e8l\u00b7lules beta pancre\u00e0tiques funcionals a partir de c\u00e8l\u00b7lules mare.
