La investigaci\u00f3, publicada en <em>IEEE<\/em> <em>Transactions of Industrial Electronics<\/em> demostra que la t\u00e8cnica de fabricaci\u00f3 \u00e9s relativament simple i que pot ampliar-se per a produir altaveus *ultradelgados \u00a0prou grans com per a cobrir l&#8217;interior d&#8217;un autom\u00f2bil o d&#8217;un avi\u00f3, o empaperar una habitaci\u00f3.<\/p>\n<p>La majoria dels altaveus de pel\u00b7l\u00edcula prima del mercat estan dissenyats per a ser independents perqu\u00e8 la pel\u00b7l\u00edcula ha de doblegar-se lliurement per a produir so. Col\u00b7locar aquests altaveus en una superf\u00edcie impediria la vibraci\u00f3 i dificultaria la seua capacitat per a generar so. No obstant aix\u00f2, l&#8217;equip del MIT ha resolt aquest problema. En lloc que tot el material vibre, el seu disseny es basa en xicotetes c\u00fapules sobre una fina capa de material piezoel\u00e8ctric que vibra individualment. Aquestes c\u00fapules estan envoltades per capes espaiadores en la part superior i inferior de la pel\u00b7l\u00edcula que les protegeixen de la superf\u00edcie de muntatge i al mateix temps els permeten vibrar lliurement. Aquestes capes espaiadores protegeixen les c\u00fapules de l&#8217;abrasi\u00f3 i els impactes durant el maneig diari, aportant durabilitat a l&#8217;altaveu.
