L&#8217;objectiu fonamental d&#8217;aquest estudi, publicat en la revista Nature, \u00e9s eliminar el risc de contaminaci\u00f3 viral, un seri\u00f3s problema que produeix elevades p\u00e8rdues en aquells processos productius industrials que involucren bacteris.<\/p>\n<p>Aquest nou codi gen\u00e8tic intercanviat fa que les c\u00e8l\u00b7lules siguen resistents a tots els virus naturals i evita que la informaci\u00f3 gen\u00e8tica flu\u00efsca dins i fora dels organismes gen\u00e8ticament modificats. A m\u00e9s, com aquestes c\u00e8l\u00b7lules poden tindre un avantatge selectiu sobre els organismes silvestres a causa d&#8217;aquesta resist\u00e8ncia als virus, l&#8217;equip d&#8217;investigaci\u00f3 ha desenvolupat en el mateix sistema una mesura de seguretat destinada a impedir que el material gen\u00e8tic modificat\u00a0puga incorporar-se a c\u00e8l\u00b7lules naturals, evitant el risc de fugida a la naturalesa.<\/p>\n<p>En resum, aquest descobriment pot proporcionar la base per a una estrat\u00e8gia general per a fer que qualsevol organisme siga resistent de manera segura a tots els virus naturals i evitar que la informaci\u00f3 gen\u00e8tica flu\u00efsca dins i fora dels organismes gen\u00e8ticament modificats.
