Utilitzant intel\u00b7lig\u00e8ncia artificial (IA), van trobar un nou tipus d&#8217;antibi\u00f2tic capa\u00e7 de combatre una perillosa superbacteria. El bacteri \u00e9s capa\u00e7 d&#8217;adquirir gens que l&#8217;ajuden a resistir als medicaments, la qual cosa la converteix en una amena\u00e7a important per a la salut.<\/p>\n<p>L&#8217;equip cient\u00edfic va provar l&#8217;antibi\u00f2tic en la pell de ratolins infectats experimentalment amb la *superbacteria, aconseguint controlar el seu creixement. Aix\u00f2 suggereix que el m\u00e8tode podria adaptar-se per a crear antibi\u00f2tics efectius contra altres pat\u00f2gens resistents. A m\u00e9s, el f\u00e0rmac va funcionar en tots els ceps resistents de <em>Acinetobacter baumannii<\/em>, si b\u00e9 encara necessita ser perfeccionat i provat en assajos cl\u00ednics abans del seu \u00fas en humans.<\/p>\n<p>El m\u00e9s destacat \u00e9s que el compost identificat per la IA nom\u00e9s bloqueja el patogen problem\u00e0tic, sense afectar els bacteris beneficiosos presents en l&#8217;intest\u00ed o la pell. Aix\u00f2 ho converteix en un agent \u00fanic i d&#8217;acci\u00f3 limitada, per\u00f2 prometedor en la lluita contra la resist\u00e8ncia bacteriana.<\/p>\n<p>Per a trobar el nou antibi\u00f2tic, el grup d&#8217;investigaci\u00f3 va utilitzar una t\u00e8cnica anomenada garbellat de f\u00e0rmacs d&#8217;alt rendiment i van exposar al bacteri a m\u00e9s de 7.500 agents. Despr\u00e9s, van utilitzar la IA per a analitzar milers de mol\u00e8cules i reduir la cerca a 240 subst\u00e0ncies qu\u00edmiques, que es van provar en el laboratori. Finalment, van identificar un compost anomenat RS102895, al qual van denominar &#8220;abaucina&#8221;, que va demostrar ser efectiu contra <em>Acinetobacter baumannii<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>El RS102895 actua de manera \u00fanica, bloquejant el moviment dels components bacterians des de l&#8217;interior de la c\u00e8l\u00b7lula fins a la seua superf\u00edcie. A difer\u00e8ncia de la majoria dels antibi\u00f2tics d&#8217;ampli espectre, aquest compost sol actua contra <em>Acinetobacter baumannii<\/em>, la qual cosa redueix la propagaci\u00f3 de resist\u00e8ncia bacteriana.<\/p>\n<p>Aquest descobriment representa un avan\u00e7 emocionant en la lluita contra les *superbacterias i destaca el potencial de la intel\u00b7lig\u00e8ncia artificial en la cerca de nous medicaments.
