The study, based on data from the Spanish Agency for Food Safety and Nutrition (AESAN) for 2024, detected 127 different substances in the products analyzed.<\/p>\n<p>These include 59 pesticides banned in the European Union, 48 endocrine disruptors, and 14 PFAS compounds, all associated with risks to health and the environment. Furthermore, 32% of the samples showed multiple pesticide contamination, with several pesticides present in the same food item.<\/p>\n<p>The organization recommends prioritizing the consumption of local and seasonal products to reduce exposure to these substances, as imported foods have a higher concentration of pesticide residues.
