This inverted microscope is optimized for both transmitted light and fluorescence imaging, as well as for performing FRET (Fluorescence Resonance Energy Transfer) assays. It features standard filters (DAPI/FITC/TRITC), a fast-wavelength-switching monochromator as the excitation system (OptoScan, Cairn Research), and a high-sensitivity, high-speed camera (ORCA FLASH 4.0, Hamamatsu). For FRET assays, the microscope is further equipped with the W-View Gemini dual-emission system (Hamamatsu) and a set of CFP/YFP filters, enabling the capture of two images at different wavelengths with a single camera. The installed software allows for image acquisition and processing (HCImage, Hamamatsu). |
