The QuantStudio 3 Real-Time PCR System (Applied Biosystems) uses the polymerase chain reaction with fluorescent detection to perform: quantitative detection of nucleic acid (DNA) sequences (targets); qualitative detection of targets (endpoint analysis, genotyping experiments, absence/presence experiments); and qualitative detection of PCR products (post-PCR denaturation curve analysis).
This real-time PCR system detects target quantity differences as small as 1.5x in single-plex reactions and achieves a 10-log linear dynamic range. It also features multiplexing capability for up to 6 targets. It is compatible with 96-well (0.1 ml) consumables. The 96-well blocks include VeriFlex technology with three or six independent temperature zones for precise temperature control and optimization. It includes pre-optimized protocol templates, minimizing training time for new users.
