This state-of-the-art instrument features a 300 W xenon lamp as a polychromatic light source, a dual excitation monochromator, and an emission monochromator, along with a four-position sample compartment controlled by a Peltier element. It is capable of measuring steady-state fluorescence, acquiring excitation and emission spectra, and determining quantum yields. The applications of steady-state and time-resolved fluorescence are numerous, spanning both basic and applied science in fields as diverse as biology, chemistry, biotechnology, nanotechnology, pharmaceuticals, materials science, food science, and environmental science. These techniques enable the study and characterization of materials or biological systems at the molecular and cellular levels, allowing for the measurement of distances at the nanoscale, as well as dynamic processes occurring in the nanosecond range. |
