A recording and stimulation system for in vitro applications that allows for the measurement of extracellular electrical activity with high resolution (>2k Electrodes/mm² ) and a sampling frequency of 25kHz. Its operation is based on the use of a two-dimensional semiconductor (CMOS) array of more than 4000 electrodes as the fundamental recording element. Interleaved among these are 1000 stimulation electrodes. These arrays are housed on chips coupled to culture chambers with multiple designs, which adapt to different types of samples, primarily tissue sections or cell cultures.

With the aim of providing the system with greater flexibility, the following auxiliary equipment is available as part of the work platform:

  • TC0 2 temperature control system (Multichannel systems) with two channels for temperature ranges between 10°C and 40°C (± 0.1 °C).

  • VCS-8-PTFE perfusion system (Multichannel systems) with automatic control and multiple options for designing complex protocols with up to 8 different solutions.

  • PPS2 peristaltic pump system (Multichannel systems) that allows flow adjustment with a range of 0 – 30 ml/min with a resolution of 0.1ml/min.

The fees include equipment operation by a specialized technician. These fees do NOT include the cost of culture plates. Should the supply of these plates or other consumables be required, the cost will be increased as indicated in the fee schedule for consumables. The fees do not include cell cultures; therefore, if the service requires this or any other additional service, a separate quote will be provided.
Equipment reservations will be made through the channels available at IDiBE for this purpose and will be determined according to demand.
