The instrument allows for the analysis and/or separation of individual cells or previously disaggregated tissues. Separation can be based on size, complexity, or, preferably, fluorescence (due to the presence of fluorescent proteins such as GFP, YFP Tomato, or the use of fluorophore-linked antibodies). It features three lasers: 488 nm (blue laser), 633 nm (red laser), and 375 nm (near UV), as well as various filters, covering the main applications in flow cytometry. |
