The device is based on the absorption of energy by a sample in the near-infrared region (780-2500 nm), causing the covalent bonds between CH, OH, and NH, the main components of organic substances, to vibrate in different ways. Therefore, a relationship exists between the chemical composition, both quantitatively and qualitatively, and the spectrum recorded in the near-infrared region. |
