Last Thursday, 22 October, the 1st Fine Arts Gala @bellasartesaltea was held at the Altea campus. The event took place in the Mascarat building and benefited from the technical support of our #SATDI colleagues, Josep Galvany (audiovisual controls) and Roc Gomar (3D printing of the awards).

The event brought together art, music and recognition of emerging talent, highlighting the close collaboration between the university, local organisations and the municipality of Altea in supporting the development of young artists.

Mario Romero, a sculpture technician at the Altea campus and a member of our service, was also honoured at the event in recognition of his outstanding dedication and day-to-day commitment to the Faculty’s artistic learning and creative processes. The University Community Award was presented by our head of service, Eva del Río Pons, who conveyed the congratulations of all his colleagues.

At SATDI, we are immensely proud of this well-deserved award for Mario. It also represents, indirectly, recognition of the work carried out by the nearly 100 technicians who make up our service and who, through commitment, dedication and hard work, contribute to the development of our university.

Congratulations, Mario! And thank you to the entire team for making teaching, research and university life possible every day!
