Consulting and Repair of Teaching and Research Equipment at Miguel Hernández University

The Technical Support Service for Teaching and Research provides support to research groups and teaching departments at UMH for the repair of mechanical, electrical, electronic, and computer equipment, as well as small installations, that do not fall under the purview of the Infrastructure Service or the IT Infrastructure Service.

Available technical support areas

•  Electrical and Electronic Engineering:

• • Repair of teaching and research laboratory equipment that is NOT under warranty, whose repair is feasible and whose budget is lower than that budgeted by an official technical service.
  • Minor repairs of electrical or electronic installations that fall outside the scope of the Infrastructure Service Maintenance Section.

• Mechanics, Thermodynamics and Fluids:

• • Repair of teaching and research laboratory equipment that is NOT under warranty, whose repair is feasible and whose budget is lower than that budgeted by an official technical service.
  • Minor repairs of mechanical, thermodynamic and fluid installations that fall outside the Maintenance Section of the Infrastructure Service.

• Computer Science :

• • Repair and replacement of hardware in computer equipment that is not the responsibility of the IT Infrastructure Service.
  • Installation of modifications to specific software or Operating Systems under paid licenses or under Free Software licenses that are outside the scope of the Computer Infrastructure Service.
  • Troubleshooting internal network infrastructure issues that are not related to the IT Infrastructure Service.
