Acquisition of sections for optical microscopy preparations.

Observations:
Samples will be embedded in paraffin after dehydration in ethanol and xylene. Subsequent hematoxylin and eosin staining of the sections is included in the fee if requested by the service applicant. Due to the various mounting options for the sections, the specific supports (sample holders) will be provided by the service applicant. Numerous ultrathin sections can be obtained from each sample (embedding block), depending on the sample size.
