The Shimadzu UV-2700 UV-Vis spectrophotometer is a high-precision instrument designed to measure light absorbance in the ultraviolet (UV) and visible (Vis) spectroscopic ranges. This model is ideal for analytical applications in research laboratories, quality control, and analysis in various industries, including pharmaceutical, chemical, environmental, and food.

Key features:

  • Wide measurement range spanning from 190 nm to 1100 nm, allowing for the analysis of both ultraviolet and visible light

  • Resolution down to 0.1 nm, ensuring high accuracy in absorbance measurement and spectral acquisition

  • It features a dual light source: a deuterium lamp for the UV range (190-350 nm) and a 50W halogen lamp (2000 hours life) for the visible range (350-1100 nm)

  • A dual monochromator system improves selectivity and accuracy in spectrum measurement, allowing for more efficient control over wavelengths.

  • The R-928 photomultiplier detector (PMT) is known for its high sensitivity and performance in detecting weak signals, enabling accurate measurements even at low sample concentrations.

  • It can analyze liquid samples in standard cells (such as 1 cm cells), although it can also be adapted for other types of samples depending on the type of analysis.
