Suppliers and categories

The SDA is divided into 10 categories based on the type of products included:
CATEGORY 01: Chemical Products
  • Description .
    • Chemical products with varying degrees of purity for use in biological, chemical and related research laboratories.
    • Any chemical product or mixture.
  • Examples :
    • Acids, Bases, Chemical Catalysts (Compounds of gold, palladium, platinum,…), Inorganic Compounds, Organic Compounds, Solvents, Pure Elements, Etc.
CATEGORY 02: Reagents, kits and laboratory products
  • Description .
    • Reagents, kits, media, supplements, buffers, etc., used in the different research laboratories of the biological, chemical, medical and related branches, which cover the different lines of teaching and research of the UMH.
  • Examples :
    • Reagents for microbiology, histology, cell cultures, immunology, molecular biology, proteomics, genomics, as well as any other discipline that may be developed.
CATEGORY 03: General laboratory consumables
  • Description .
    • Materials used in the various research laboratories of the biological, chemical, medical, and related fields, covering the different lines of teaching and research at UMH. Materials made of plastic, glass, ceramic, steel, etc.
  • Examples :
    • Material for microbiology, histology, cell cultures, immunology, molecular biology, proteomics, genomics, as well as any other discipline that may be developed.
    • Tubes, petri dishes, multiwell plates, glass and plastic pipettes, multichannel pipette tips, cuvettes, lids, filters, magnets, syringes, forceps, pipetting and weighing accessories, bags, beakers, vials, flasks, etc.
CATEGORY 04: Small and medium laboratory equipment
  • Description .
    • Equipment necessary for the development of teaching and research activities in the various laboratories of chemical, biological, biochemical, medical, etc. profile (max. value €5,000 + VAT).
  • Examples :
    • Agitators, balances, scales, baths, thermoblocks, pumps, compressors, centrifuges, homogenizers, heaters, pipettes, pipettors, stoves, ovens, autoclaves, refrigerators and freezers, dishwashers, water purifiers, burners, incubators, cell counters, cabinets, electrophoresis systems, thermocyclers, transilluminators, magnifying glasses, microscopes, timers, spectrometers, meters, pH meters, thermometers, etc.

CATEGORY 05: Safety, protection and hygiene
  • Description .
    • Protective equipment, materials and products for containing and neutralizing spills, safety equipment, specific products for personal hygiene, products for cleaning and disinfecting surfaces, materials and/or equipment
  • Examples :
    • Gloves, masks, protective glasses, screens, disposable protective clothing (e.g., gowns, coveralls, pajamas, shoe covers), safety cabinets, etc.
    • Disinfectant soaps, gels, detergents, decontaminants, disinfectants, etc.
CATEGORY 06: Electrical and electronic equipment
  • Description .
    • Materials and components used in the different workshops and research laboratories for electronics, electricity, mechanics and related fields, which cover the different lines of teaching and research at UMH.
    • Electrical and electronic components of all kinds for assembling circuits or electrical-electronic devices. Batteries, chargers, and non-specific accessories. Enclosures and frames for equipment assembly.
    • Material for 3D printing.
  • Examples :
    • Electronic components, cables and conductors, fuses, displays, development kits, power supplies, batteries and chargers, lighting elements (IR, UV, LED, neon lamps, etc.), 3D printing material and generic accessories, etc.
CATEGORY 07: Mechanical-automatic-optical equipment
  • Description .
    • Components, devices and light sources for the assembly of optical parts and devices related to Optomechanics and optoelectronics.
    • Components and parts for the construction of process automation equipment
    • Components and parts for the assembly of mechanical equipment.
  • Examples :
    • Optomechanical components and devices, optical elements and supports, filters, optical fiber, light sources, parts and pieces for robots, automation and mechanics, etc.
CATEGORY 08: Laboratory measuring and testing equipment
  • Description .
    • Equipment used in the different workshops and research laboratories for electronics, electricity, mechanics and related fields, covering the different lines of teaching and research at UMH. (max. value €5,000 + VAT).
    • Equipment for recording, measuring and taking data related to physics, electricity, electronics, etc.
  • Examples :
    • Electronic component testers, electrical installation and its accessories, etc.
    • Analyzers, multimeters, oscilloscopes, sound level meters, accelerometers, signal generators and analyzers, calibrators, benchtop and power measurement equipment, etc.
    • Testing equipment for electrical systems, cables and data networks, etc.
CATEGORY 09: Equipment, components and lighting elements for audiovisual recording
  • Description .
    • Professional/semi-professional quality equipment for audiovisual workshops (lighting, sound, image), except projection systems.
    • max. value €5,000 + VAT.
  • Examples :
    • Microphones, photo and video cameras, as well as accessories and elements necessary for their operation.
    • Mixing consoles and audio and video processing systems.
    • Lamps and lighting systems for studios and outdoor use for audiovisual productions.
CATEGORY 10: Hardware and tools
  • Description .
    • Basic materials and tools, precision equipment for repairs. Materials for cleaning and maintaining facilities.
    • Protective equipment against impacts, welding, etc.
  • Examples :
    • Abrasives and materials.
    • Fasteners and fixings, profiles, etc.
    • Adhesives, sealants and tapes.
    • Boxes, material storage, tools 
    • Cleaning and maintenance of facilities.
